Egg Blowing Workshop
Time & Location
About The Event
Join me for another two-day workshop! Kids will get to try something many have not before - egg blowing!
Day 1: I will walk children through the technique of blowing eggs. After the eggs are blown, we'll spend the rest of the time available painting flower pots, which we will fill with dirt and flower bulbs the next day.
Day 2: The second day children will get to paint their blown eggs or make them into dragon eggs! Children who finish painting early will make bird feeding tubes.
The workshop is designed for children ages 6 and up, but contact me if your child falls outside of this range. Parents are welcome to stay (at no cost)! I encourage this if your child is younger than 6 as they may need your help with the egg blowing in particular. The cost is $20 per child for the two day class.
Egg blowing and painting is a tradition found in many European countries. I began egg blowing while living in Germany. Blown eggs are often strung with ribbon and hung from trees inside or in the front yard. I will wash the eggs before we blow them, and sanitize them before we paint them. I do not recommend this activity to anyone with an egg allergy.
The bird feeders will be made using peanut butter. However, if there are any allergy risks, I will exchange the peanut butter for sun butter (for everyone!). As always, let me know during registration if there are ANY allergies or dietary restrictions I should be aware of.
Space is limited! Reservations are secure once payment is received. Contact me with any questions!
